Provenir has been involved in trialing the KoolPak from TomKat Global Solutions. We have been using the KoolPak units for shipping beef cuts from our on-farm abattoir operations to (very) rural high end hospitality venues across two states. The KoolPak has shown exceptional thermal performance, and the robust construction has allowed continual re-use - we are currently on the 6th rotation of KoolPak’s with only superficial signs of damage.

The reusability, recyclability, blockchain traceability and thermal performance makes the KoolPak vastly more attractive option to EPS (which we refuse to use as a company). There are a number of alternatives to EPS being promoted on the market, but these are limited by their single use making them non commercially viable in comparison to EPS.

The reusability of the KoolPak is fundamental to its sustainability credentials and means it is less expensive than EPS per shipment but with improved thermal performance and blockchain traceability. Given the upcoming ban on EPS and our successful trials with the product we are thankful for TomKat KoolPak’s innovation and look forward to introducing them as part of our distribution solution
