With 30 years’ experience in the seafood industry, Mick Reyes is passionate about all things seafood. Mick co-founded the largest export company of live Coral Trout in Australia in 2004, later establishing East Star Exports as the premium product exporter in 2011. Mick has a depth of export market knowledge, airfreight, and logistics experience with a deep understanding of the Asian markets particularly China & Hong Kong.

Based in Cairns, Queensland, the Great Barrier Reef is not only the source of Mick’s business, but his backyard. Mick is enthusiastic about the opportunity for the KoolPak to reduce the amount of polystyrene packaging making its way into rivers, waterways and the ocean as well as reducing unnecessary food waste caused by poorly performing packaging options within the seafood industry.

As our Seafood Logistics Specialist – Global Solutions, Mick will be instrumental in assisting industry transition from polystyrene reducing the half a billion polystyrene fish boxes used by the seafood industry each year.
